New ongoing project for 2019. Three tiered rear garden featuring extensive Porcelain terrace area, underground housing for retractable pool cover and undercover outdoor kitchen area.
Access and the sheer amount of earth and materials being moved (nearly 300 tonnes!) has made for a logistically challenging project that has resulted in a spectacular transformation creating stunning outdoor spaces.
The main focus of the project is for the family living areas to integrate into the outdoor space and create usable flat tiers from what was a very steep gradient.
Interesting smaller project in the leafy suburbs of south London, high spec modern pergola and wall installation to bring to life a seldom used paving area at the bottom of the garden.
The client wanted to create a 'cosy' atmosphere and an entertaining area that could be utilised in all seasons.
The clients brief was achieved by constructing a hardwood pergola, with tight slats that would let the light through in the spring and summer months whilst providing enough cover to create a snug and inviting seating area in the colder months, this was further enforced with the inclusion of outdoor heaters and surround sound system.
Lovely back garden in Surrey, the use of the grey granite paving and the grey tonal brick slips really tie the terrace and the new modern kitchen extension together, creating a seamless transition through the sliding kitchen doors and into the garden.
The clients emphasised the fact they liked to entertain and the brief stipulated not just a user friendly garden but an extension of the new kitchen. This was further achieved by the introduction of a bbq area with cooking shelf and raised bar shelf to accommodate a high stool seating area so the chef doesn't get lonely!
The installation of a floating L shaped bench that follows the raised planter finishes things off, creating an area to relax on those long summer evenings.
